Whale Swims

Our standard whale swim package is an all-inclusive 7 day package. These 7 days packages allow for 5 full days on the water whale watching and swimming plus 2 non water/boating days. One of these non-dive days is Sunday (as no charters or work is allowed on Sunday’s in Tonga) and the other non-dive day is decided by “mother nature”. We usually take the windiest or least appealing day off.
Whale swim packages only run from early July through to the end of October to tie in with the Humpback migration. Our packages are designed around the Virgin Airlines (VA 169) direct flights from Sydney, Australia to Tonga every Wednesday night.  Generally, new clients arrive in the early hours of Thursday morning and conclude on the following Wednesday evening.
We do also cater for shorter trips and even day charters upon availability. However, we feel to get the true “Tongan whale swim experience” a week is required to fully enjoy this experience.
Whales can be expected to be seen daily but finding the right whales to swim with can take time and “patience” is the key. This is nature and our expert guides will not harass whales for the sake of a swim. Over the course of the week you will get some great swims with the humpback whales in the Kingdom of Tonga.
Your typical day on the water will consist of 7-8 hours at sea.You can join an existing group or form your own group. As our trips are all guided by licensed and trained whale swim guides we can cater for most experience levels, even younger children. We may start the day for newcomers with a snorkel dive on one of the pristine reefs but this really depends on the clients, the weather and experience levels. Most days involve a snorkel over the reef or a dive at the Eua Caves if the weather is accommodating.
Our group sizes vary between 6-8 passengers plus guides. We can however do private charters for one or two clients, obviously these are priced accordingly. Contact us for more information on these customised packages.

• 7 nights’ accommodation at the Blue Water Explorer Guesthouse.
• 5 full days guided whale swims including lunches and drinks daily.
• 1 day Island tour.
• Transfers to from the airport and to/from the boat daily.
• 2 Chef prepared main meals and breakfast daily.
• Souvenir t-shirt and hat.
• A USB stick with trip images on (topside and underwater).
• Use of snorkelling gear and wetsuits.

Packages do not include alcoholic beverages, some evening meals, lunches on non-dive days and tips.
